Making Event Steaming More Inclusive Through the EE Connected Camera
EE and BAFTAplus1 took the internet to the red carpet.
Through a real-time social broadcast, the audience felt like they were there getting a unique perspective on the event and going places traditional coverage couldn’t. Like getting the star treatment at The Savoy, meeting John Boyega seconds after winning his award or chatting with Stephen Fry moments before he went on to host. People could accompany two different YouTubers as their virtual plus1 via EE’s 4G cameras. Each influencer provided a FAHION & FILM Culture lens to the event. The site itself updated as events happened. Putting the audience in the middle of the action, in a story that grew as the night unfolded.
